The MarginLens team combines expertise from top financial institutions, technology companies, and academia — including ex-software engineers, risk quants, and AI researchers.
Katelyn is a former Bank of America VP-level quant and former JPMorgan software engineer, with a career built at the intersection of quantitative finance and engineering. She holds a BS in Computer Science from Loyola University and served as Co-Head of the Princeton Fintech & Quant Trading Conference. She got her start interning at Group One Trading on the CBOE floor, working alongside some of the most active market makers in listed options, before moving into full-time roles at two of the largest financial institutions in the world.
At JPMorgan, she worked as a full-stack engineer shipping production backend services at scale and led an ML project on time series risk data within the Asset Management division. At Bank of America, she was a VP-level quant on the OTC derivatives side — building margin and exposure models, automating initial margin calculations in Python, and co-developing an SA-CCR exposure engine using Monte Carlo simulation.
She later moved into AI engineering before founding MarginLens, applying what she'd seen firsthand at both institutions to the margin infrastructure problem trading desks live with every day. MarginLens is built solo across the full stack and is now onboarding founding customers — limited spots available.
Outside of MarginLens, Katelyn is a competitive equestrian.
MarginLens is advised by experienced executives from finance, technology, and high-growth startups.
